The gags were usually bizarre, drawing comparisons to The Far Side. The humor sometimes appealed to an audience with a scientific or computing background, but the strip was in no sense constrained to being "for nerds"; the subjects ranged broadly, and the humor relied on the unusual and absurd rather than on being topical or using in-group references. The artwork was ambitious for its time; the strips were 640x480 24-bit color JPEGs, with a great deal of attention devoted to the coloring and backgrounds.
