Far into the future, with the earth decimated by carelessness and conflict, every competing human civilization has departed the planet aboard enormous colony ships, setting out to find new edens, but leaving behind conflicts so mechanized and automated that war continued unabated even when all reason left. For hundreds of years these colossal spaceships slowly traveled the local star systems, as whole generations were born, raised, and died never having set foot outside the ship. But a planet as suited for human life as earth is difficult to find. Eventually one ship, The New Dawn Voyager, decided to turn back. This is their story.
