Jess is planning to be responsible when she grew up but isn't entirely sure when she's supposed to be a grownup, although she suspects it might not be while her mother still comments on every aspect of her life when she visits.

Laura spends her working hours being a responsible adult in A&E and is therefore usually too tired to be a responsible adult once she's got home.

Kelly doesn't plan to be a responsible adult at any point which is a shame as she keeps accidentally doing grownup stuff like paying bills and engaging in psychological warfare with the estate agents.

Between them they have too many books, too many CDs, one exasperated girlfriend, one `not-boyfriend', a bunch of equally useless mates, and a garden which has long since been reclaimed by nature and the local feral kittehs.
