Sir Perigold is a fantasy/comedy graphic novel, which is half high adventure, half buddy movie. It’s about Perigold, a bold but witless knight and his sarcastic dragon companion, Auriel, and all the excitement they get up to. Perigold is besotted with the fair ‘maiden’ Lady Lia, and spends his life striving to impress her through marvellous gifts and brave deeds. Auriel, meanwhile, does a good job of putting up with him. It’s part parody, part farce, part excuse to draw dragons.
