One of the principal characters is the cartoonist himself, and he's kind of odd.
The entire comic is about the making of the comic itself, but it's not a retelling; the comic is actually being written and drawn inside of itself. This allows for time travel, reality manipulation, and the occasional ontological paradox. And ninjas.
Really, the only way to explain it is with itself. It must be seen to be described.
