The Age of Mortality has begun, and the Immortal race has died out. Only three remain: Zairen, Olgrich, and Arrin. Once a perfect place, the world of Ailevian has seen bloodshed for the first time at Zairen’s hands. Now, it is cursed forever. Beset by this curse, people are now turning into monsters. Their transformations can only be stopped by magic objects called Medallions created only by the powerful king Olgrich. One of these Medallion-bearers, a convict named Kaikuro, is pardoned from his crimes at a price. He must become a mentor to Arrin in hopes that he will become purified and take on his birthright as the only being besides Olgrich who can forge Medallions, too. The curse must be lifted. The Age of Mortality must end.
