Elä Suomi is an ongoing web comic covering the history of Finland from the Middle Ages to World War II. The characters are the national personifications of the various countries depicted, who act out history semi-accurately.
Research for this comic is done with the books History of Finland by Henrik Meinander and A History of Finland by Eino Jutikkala (which appears to be out of print). Also Wikipedia.
