In a fantasy world with magical creatures, Huxley a boy who is only half human tends to be shunned and ridiculed by all who look at him. One day while working as a crew mate on a cargo ship back to his home island he is forced into the task of taking care of a so called demonic creature locked in a cage and told "No matter what you must give it no sympathy".
